Guacamole Footbowls

Guacamole Footbowls

Rating

No Super Bowl party is complete without guacamole, and why not serve it in avocado halves to mimic the shape of a football? Accented with sour cream to imitate the lace on a football, these easy gameday appetizers are just as cute as they are tasty. For a hungry crowd, you'll probably want to go ahead and double the batch.
Ingredients
  • 6 ripe avocados
  • ½ cup finely diced red onion (from 1 onion)
  • ⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño chile, seeded and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice (from 1 lime)
  • 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt ⅓ cup sour cream
  • Tortilla chips
Instructions
  1. Cut avocados in half, and discard seeds. Place avocado flesh in a large bowl, and mash until desired consistency. Reserve avocado shell halves.
  2. Add onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, lemon juice, and salt to avocado; stir to combine. Fill each avocado shell with guacamole.
  3. Place sour cream into a squeeze bottle. Or place sour cream in a zip-lock plastic bag, and snip a small hole in the corner. Pipe the lines of a football on top. Serve with tortilla chips.

You don't have to know much about football to know that these are a touchdown https://trib.al/YziKWps (via Well Done)
