We love turning our favorite candies into desserts and we were very excited about Robin Eggs.
Ingredients
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 box brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on box
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp. malted milk powder
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • Blue food coloring
  • Brown food coloring
  • Robin Eggs, chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° and line a 9”-x-13” baking pan with parchment and grease with cooking spray. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and bake until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out with a few moist crumbs, 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Meanwhile, make frosting: In a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and malted milk powder and beat until smooth. Add heavy cream, vanilla, and a pinch of salt and beat until combined. Add a few drops of blue food coloring and mix until desired color is reached. Frost cooled brownies.
  3. In a small bowl, add a couple drops brown food coloring with 2 teaspoons water. Dip a paintbrush in mixture and holding brush about 6 inches away, fling colored water over frosting to create speckles. Top with chopped Robin Eggs.
