Hot Dog Skewers

Who doesn't love a good hot dog? This simple twist is great for low-carb dieters, or anyone trying to integrate more veggies into their diet
Ingredients
  • FOR SAUCE
  • ¼ c. barbecue sauce
  • 1½ tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. rice wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • FOR SKEWERS
  • 1 hot dogs, quartered
  • 3 c. diced pineapple
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • small red onion, diced
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk to combine all sauce ingredients. Preheat grill or grill pan on medium heat.
  2. Build skewers by alternating hot dogs, pineapple, peppers, and red onion. Brush all over with sauce and place on preheated grill.
  3. Grill, flipping every couple minutes and basting with remaining sauce, until skewers are charred, about 6 to 8 minutes total.
