Hot Dog Skewers

Who doesn't love a good hot dog? This simple twist is great for low-carb dieters, or anyone trying to integrate more veggies into their diet
Ingredients
- FOR SAUCE
- ¼ c. barbecue sauce
- 1½ tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. rice wine vinegar
- ½ tsp. chili powder
- FOR SKEWERS
- 1 hot dogs, quartered
- 3 c. diced pineapple
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- small red onion, diced
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk to combine all sauce ingredients. Preheat grill or grill pan on medium heat.
- Build skewers by alternating hot dogs, pineapple, peppers, and red onion. Brush all over with sauce and place on preheated grill.
- Grill, flipping every couple minutes and basting with remaining sauce, until skewers are charred, about 6 to 8 minutes total.
