Oven Baked Spaghetti

One-pot creamy, saucy spaghetti will dinner SO much tastier.
Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 680 g jar passata
- 1 tbsp. tomato puree
- 250 g mascarpone
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 2 tsp. caster sugar
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 650 ml boiling water
- 350 g spaghetti
- Small handful of fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 210°C (190°C Fan).
- In a large bowl, mix together the onion, garlic, passata, tomato puree, mascarpone, oregano, sugar, oil and boiling water until evenly combined. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Add the spaghetti to a large, high sided roasting tin. Pour over the tomato and mascarpone mixture and cover with foil. Bake in the middle of the oven for 40-45 minutes until the spaghetti is cooked and the sauce has thickened. Stir every 10-15 minutes to ensure the spaghetti cooks evenly and doesn’t stick together. Top with the basil and serve.
