Oven Baked Spaghetti


One-pot creamy, saucy spaghetti will dinner SO much tastier.
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 680 g jar passata
  • 1 tbsp. tomato puree
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 tsp. caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 650 ml boiling water
  • 350 g spaghetti
  • Small handful of fresh basil
  1. Preheat your oven to 210°C (190°C Fan).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the onion, garlic, passata, tomato puree, mascarpone, oregano, sugar, oil and boiling water until evenly combined. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the spaghetti to a large, high sided roasting tin. Pour over the tomato and mascarpone mixture and cover with foil. Bake in the middle of the oven for 40-45 minutes until the spaghetti is cooked and the sauce has thickened. Stir every 10-15 minutes to ensure the spaghetti cooks evenly and doesn’t stick together. Top with the basil and serve.
