Ingredients
- For the margarita:
- 5 Cucumber rounds
- 4 to 5 Fresh mint leaves
- 2 ounces Herradura Ultra Tequila
- 1 ounce Triple sec
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 Jalapeno rounds
- 2 tsp Granulated sugar
- ¼ cup Kosher salt
- Lime wedge
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- Ginger beer or Tonic Water (optional)
- For the tequila lime pickled jalapenos:
- 4 medium Jalapenos, sliced into rounds
- ½ cup Herradura Ultra Tequila
- 2 tbsp Fresh lime juice
Instructions
- For the margarita:
- In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt and chili powder. Take the lime wedge and rub the rim of a cocktail glass. Next, place the rim of the glass into the salt.
- Next, place the cucumber, mint, Herradura tequila, triple sec, lime juice, jalapeno rounds, and granulated sugar in a cocktail shaker. Muddle the ingredients. Add crushed ice to the cocktail shaker and shake.
- Add crushed ice into the salt rimmed cocktail glass. Pour the mixture from the cocktail shaker into the prepared cocktail glass. Top with ginger beer or tonic water. Garnish with tequila lime pickled jalapenos.
- For the tequila lime pickled jalapenos:
- In a medium-sized jar fitted with a lid add the jalapenos. Next, add in the Herradura tequila and lime juice. Cover and chill for 30 minutes or longer for a more intense flavor!
