- granulated sugar, for rim (optional)
- 2 oz. cognac
- ¾ oz. lemon juice
- ¾ oz. triple sec (such as Cointreau)
- ice
- lemon peel, for garnish
- For optional sugar rim, swipe a cut lemon around the rim of a cocktail glass and dip in sugar to coat.
- Combine cognac, lemon juice, and triple sec in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until cold.
- Strain into prepared glass and garnish with a lemon peel.
