Pecan Pie

Everyone needs a classic Pecan Pie recipe in their back pocket! And this recipe from Southern Girls Desserts is as good as it gets.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs + 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- Pie crust, store bought or homemade
- Cinnamon sugar
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, beat 4 eggs very well. Add sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, salt and flour. Mix until combined. Finally, stir in melted butter.
- Brush pie shell with egg wash and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Pour filling into pie shell and cover with chopped pecans.
- Bake for one hour, until filling is set and study. Allow the pie the cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
