Ingredients
  • avocado oil spray, for greasing
  • DOUGH:
  • 1 ¼ cups self-rising flour, (see below for homemade self-rising flour recipe)
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • HOMEMADE SELF-RISING FLOUR:
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • FILLING:
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 5 tablespoons Everything but the Bagel seasoning
Instructions
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C). Grease the air fryer basket with avocado oil spray.
  2. Make the dough: In a large bowl, add the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Use a spoon to mix until a dough forms. The dough will be a bit sticky. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, dust the top with flour, and bring the dough together with your hands. Knead the dough 3-4 more times, until it becomes smooth and moldable.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Use your hands to roll each piece into a ball, then flatten with your fingers.
  4. Add the filling: Place about 1 tablespoon cream cheese into the middle of each flattened dough piece. Fold the sides over the filling and use your fingers to pinch and seal the edges together. Make sure to fully seal the bagel bombs to prevent the cream cheese from spilling out while air frying.
  5. Place the bagel bombs into the prepared air fryer basket.
  6. Add the topping: Use a fork or small whisk to beat together the egg and milk in a small bowl until well combined. Brush the egg wash over the tops of each bagel bomb, then sprinkle each with about 2 teaspoons seasoning.
  7. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
  9. NOTES: These can be made in the oven by baking at 375°F (190°C) for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown.
