Classic Sidecar


If there's one cocktail recipe you'll want to keep in your back pocket, it's this Classic Sidecar.
  • granulated sugar, for rim (optional)
  • 2 oz. cognac
  • ¾ oz. lemon juice
  • ¾ oz. triple sec (such as Cointreau)
  • ice
  • lemon peel, for garnish
  1. For optional sugar rim, swipe a cut lemon around the rim of a cocktail glass and dip in sugar to coat.
  2. Combine cognac, lemon juice, and triple sec in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until cold.
  3. Strain into prepared glass and garnish with a lemon peel.
